We are helping an established Australian accounting firm providing accounting, compliance, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. As part of their regional expansion, we are building a Malaysia-based team to support our growing Australian operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare full sets of accounts for Australian-based clients
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant Australian standards
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors
• Support tax compliance work (e.g., corporate tax computations, GST/BAS where applicable)
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting issues
• Assist in process improvements and system enhancements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Professional accreditation: MIA / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent)
• Good understanding of IFRS / MFRS
• Experience in handling full set of accounts independently
• Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Australian accounting standards or clients
• Experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Mandarin proficiency (added advantage, not mandatory)
