Accounts Payable Analyst (Japanese Speaker)

We're supporting a leading global healthcare organisation in hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst (Japanese Speaker) to join its regional finance operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable professional with Japanese language skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced Shared Services environment and wants to grow within a well-established multinational organisation.

What you'll do

You'll support end-to-end Accounts Payable operations by:

• Processing PO and non-PO invoices, contract invoices, prepayments, and down payments
• Reviewing supplier accounts, executing payments, and resolving payment issues
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations and month-end closing activities, including purchasing accruals and AP balance sheet reconciliations
• Responding to supplier and internal stakeholder queries within agreed service levels
• Preparing operational reports and supporting compliance and statutory audits
• Participating in system enhancements, automation initiatives, process improvements, and finance projects
• Maintaining accurate documentation and mentoring new team members where required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• At least 2 years of Accounts Payable or transactional accounting experience in a Shared Services (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or BPO environment
• Good communication skills in Japanese and English (spoken and written)
• Experience using SAP or another ERP/accounting system
• Hands-on experience with invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, payment investigations, and month-end closing
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Exposure to AP automation tools (OCR, workflow systems, robotics/BOTs) is an advantage
• Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MIA, etc.) are a plus
• Willing to work 100% onsite in Petaling Jaya
