Global IT Asset Management (ITAM) Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced IT professional to lead global IT Asset Management (ITAM) operations. The role is responsible for developing ITAM strategies, overseeing the full lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency, and leading a global ITAM team to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a global ITAM strategy aligned with corporate objectives
• Establish policies, standards, and governance frameworks for IT asset lifecycle management
• Drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and risk mitigation across all IT assets globally

Global ITAM Operations

• Oversee procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of IT assets
• Ensure compliance with software licensing, regulatory requirements, and vendor agreements
• Monitor global asset utilization and recommend optimization initiatives

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor a global ITAM team, fostering accountability, innovation, and operational excellence
• Manage performance, succession planning, and skill development initiatives
• Promote collaboration across IT operations, procurement, finance, and regional teams

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Serve as the primary point of contact for global ITAM initiatives and escalations
• Provide senior leadership with actionable insights, dashboards, and reports on asset performance, compliance, and cost savings
• Partner with vendors and stakeholders to drive strategic ITAM outcomes

Process Improvement & Technology Enablement

• Implement ITAM tools and automation solutions to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across global IT operations and ITAM processes
• Ensure ITAM policies meet global standards and support audits and regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 15+ years in IT Operations (Hardware, Software, Network technologies)
• At least 5 years in IT Asset Management, with global ITAM experience
• 5+ years in senior leadership or director-level roles with people management responsibility
• BPO experience preferred but not mandatory

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred
• ITAM, ITIL, or related certifications are advantageous

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong strategic thinking and executive-level communication skills
• Expertise in ITAM tools and software license management (e.g., ServiceNow, Snow, Flexera)
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-location operations
