Design, develop, and deploy Java-based modules within Hospital Information Systems (HIS), including EMR, lab, billing, and patient data components.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external systems such as laboratory systems and billing platforms.
Collaborate with clinicians and IT teams to gather, analyze, and implement HIS requirements aligned with clinical workflows.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java developers working on Hospital Information Systems (HIS),
Ensure system compliance with healthcare data security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA or equivalent).
Develop user interfaces using Vaadin to support efficient and user-friendly clinical and administrative workflows.
Integrate healthcare data using HL7 standards and Mirth Connect for reliable information exhange between systems.
Troubleshoot, resolve issues and provide ongoing technical support to users.
Maintain clear technical documentation, including user guides, specs, and change logs.
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, sprint planning, and collaborative development activities.
Identify and explore opportunities to incorporate AI and machine learning technologies to enhance clinical decision support, workflow automation, predictive analytics, and patient engagement within HIS
Job Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
Knowledge of Java SE/Java EE, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to or experience with HL7/FHIR standards is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Good communication skills, with the ability to understand and align with clinical workflows.
Candidates with solid Java development experience are welcome, even without prior healthcare IT exposure.
Willingness to be available for 24/7 support if needed.
Eagerness to learn integration applications for healthcare systems.
Willingness to travel if required.
