Public Area Attendant

WHAT WILL I ACTUALLY BE DOING?

You have already told us that you are efficient and meticulous by nature and that you love everything to be just right, which means you will feel perfectly at home in this team.

Regardingthe role, it’s as the job title says really, you are responsible for keeping our ‘house’ clean and tidy.

Your day-to-day: Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

• Clean public areas, F&B outlet, offices,toilets, locker and car parks and make sure all area is clean and tidy
• Clean routine job assignments on the floors, such as:

Check public areas:                                          

Ø Carpet and service area                               

Ø Ceiling bulbs and casements                       

Ø Door number, signage, elevator runner /doors.                 

Ø Staircase, handrails, service lift landing, etc.                                            

Render Night Service

Ø Empty and clean ashtrays

Ø Clean soiled glasses

Ø Replace used towels

Ø Make up room upon guest request

• Responds to guest requests.
• Clean check out rooms.
• Hands in lost & found to housekeeping office.
• Perform other special duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
• Report about repair and maintenance.
• Conduct areas status check and complete public area status report form.
• To ensure all needed information are log into the styling daily report.
• To make sure the cleanliness for corridor, pantry and maid cart.
• To highlight any follow up to immediate supervisor.
• To ensure lobby, common areas, public spaces and assigned areas are ready before the start of the day.

It’s a physical role and apart from the daily briefing, you will be on your feet most of the day out and about chatting with your guests and your team, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. We would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential.

Job Requirements

Previous experience as a Public Area Attendant or in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel or five-star hospitality environment.
