Job Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking
Assist in food preparation (e.g., chopping, marinating, portioning ingredients).
Cook dishes according to recipes and café standards.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Follow proper mise en place procedures before service.
2. Kitchen Operations Support
Work under the guidance of the Chef de Partie and Head Chef.
Assist in different kitchen stations as required (hot, cold, pastry, etc.).
Ensure food is prepared and served on time, especially during peak hours.
3. Food Safety & Hygiene
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (SFA guidelines).
Keep kitchen workstations clean and organized.
Properly store ingredients and check for freshness.
4. Inventory & Stock Management
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies.
Report low stock levels or damaged ingredients to supervisors.
Minimize food waste through proper handling and portioning.
5. Teamwork & Learning
Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain efficiency.
Learn and improve cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
Take feedback and continuously improve cooking skills.
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Physically fit (standing for long hours, handling kitchen tasks).
Positive attitude and team player mindset.
