We are looking for a Demi Chef to join our hot kitchen team. This role is hands-on — from preparing mise en place, cooking, and plating, to ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly with the team, and takes pride in maintaining quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare mise en place, cook dishes, and plate according to standards.

- Work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy weekend service (priority working days).

- Anticipate and solve problems quickly, with the ability to think ahead during service.

- Perform ingredient stock checks and communicate shortages in advance.

- Maintain clear communication — share feedback, clarify instructions when needed, and contribute creative ideas.

- Keep a clean and organized workstation; follow hygiene and safety standards.

- Assist with proper storage of ingredients and equipment.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year kitchen experience.

- Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Physically fit: able to stand for long hours and carry heavy pots/pans.
