The Air Materiel Wing Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AMWSLAI) is the pioneer in the Savings and Loan Association Industry in the Philippines. Since June 13, 1956, AMWSLAI continues to financially empower members from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Department of National Defense (DND) and Philippine National Police (PNP). Organic personnel from DND, AFP and PNP prefer AMWSLAI due to its responsive financial services highlighted by low interest rates paired with best-in-industry customer service. Our Savings Programs transformed a large number of members into millionaires and our loan products funded our members’ dream businesses. OUR STORY AMWSLAI started as a paluwagan by a cadre of visionary officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees of The 410th Air Materiel Wing of the Philippine Air Force. No one saw that a small savings program paved the way to the creation of an industry in the Philippine economy. No one thought that AMWSLAI will be leading voice in the passing of Republic Act 8367 or the law that established Savings and Loan Associations to provide relief to the marginalized sectors. No one, in their wildest dreams, envisioned that a Paluwagan will be a 25-billion worth financial institution. Now on its 68th year, AMWSLAI has transformed into one of the most admired financial institutions in the Philippines from the lowly paluwagan more than six decades ago. AMWSLAI became a quintessential institution of stability and progress ever since - one that embodies the Bayanihan spirit and self-help vehicle in its purest form. AMWSLAI takes pride in honoring and serving members' as our nation’s heroes. This is our humble and sincere way of recognizing members’ unparalleled effort in building the association for 68 years.
