Accounting Manager Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including monitoring accounts, ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting.

The goal is to ensure the company's financial records are accurate, compliant, and provide a clear picture of our fiscal health to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department (month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll).
• Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Compliance & Audit: Coordinate and complete annual audits; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Internal Controls: Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to safeguard company assets.
• Team Leadership: Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy; provide mentorship and professional development for the accounting team.
• Budgeting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances to ensure the company remains on track.
