Duties and Responsibilities

• The Junior Architect will be reporting to the AVP for Project and Design Management
• Responsible for producing architectural drawings, including all details for architectural and interior projects, and trade drawings if necessary.
• Responsible for modeling on 3D software such as SketchUp and V-ray rendering.
• Ensuring drawings are compliant with building regulations and engineering principles.
• Maintain and organize project files, schedules, and specifications.
• Assist estimation and costing engineers in the estimation and calculation of the bill of quantities (BoQ).
• Generate and prepare 'For Construction Drawings' for use during the construction phase.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction.
• Conducting research when needed.
• Proficient time management to facilitate working on multiple projects simultaneously
• Conduct regular site inspections for the purposes of:
• Ensuring that the details indicated in the designs are being properly implemented and right on schedule.
• As-built plan generation,
• Punch listing, quality control, and quality assurance inspections
• Established a practical budget for the project. Throughout design and construction, monitor costs and make adjustments to stay within the budget.

Qualifications:

• Must be registered and licensed Architect.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience. Minimum 2 years in similar role. Previous experience gained in the Architectural Design Firm would be highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, writing and computer skills (AutoCad, Revit, Lumion, 3D Max and MS Office programs)
• To be able to render on 3d modeling software such as Revit, 3D Max, Lumion etc.
• Knowledgeable in technical and detailed drawings and rendering and resolving complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
