Internal Auditor

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify work hours against Daily Time Record.
• Check overtime hours pay and entitlement to holiday pay.
• Ensure Daily Time Records are valid and approved by immediate supervisor.
• Check the mathematical accuracy of incentive computation based on approved incentive scheme.
• Check if sales figures match outlet liquidation.
• Examine accuracy of paid vouchers.
• Evaluate if expenses are legitimate, approved, and supported by valid receipts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct spot cash counts with petty cash custodian.
• Examine completeness and accuracy of paid petty cash vouchers and supporting documents.
• Report any discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Check compliance with petty cash fund policies.
• Attest annual physical inventory count of raw materials and finished goods.
• Attest annual fixed asset count.
• Review disbursement transactions to ensure proper approval, valid supporting documents, and alignment with company policies.
• Check for duplicate payments, unauthorized expenses, or policy violations.
• Trace fund flow from approval to actual payment.
• Examine collection receipts, sales invoices, deposit slips, and supporting documents for incoming cash transactions.
• Ensure all received funds are recorded accurately and deposited timely.
• Investigate missing or delayed deposits, under-reported collections, and variances.
• Check sales and sales attainment.
• Review overtime claims and compare with approved OT requests and attendance logs.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies on overtime.
• Review and identify deficiencies and non-compliance issues.
• Prepare and issue Corrective Action Reports (CARE).
• Monitor implementation of corrective action reports.
• Document all audit findings, including risk levels, root causes, and control weaknesses.
• Prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports for management.
• Recommend corrective actions and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.

Qualifications:

• B.S. Accountancy or any business-related course
• 1–3 years experience in internal audit
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Familiarity with SAP
