Job Description
- Design and planning: Consult with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations on materials and designs, and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Construction: Cut, shape, and assemble wood to build new furniture, fixtures, and custom pieces.
- Repairs and restoration: Repair and restore existing furniture to restore its original condition.
- Tool operation: Safely and effectively operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and lathes.
- Finishing: Sand, stain, and finish surfaces to achieve the desired look and durability.
- Quality control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Maintenance: Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on all tools and equipment.
