IT Head - is a senior person responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing an organization’s entire information technology operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategy & Planning.
• Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee daily IT operations, systems, and infrastructure.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability.
• Manage servers, networks, databases, hardware, and software.
• Establish and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
• Protect company data from cyber threats, breaches, and unauthorized access.
• Ensure regular data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate the IT team.
• Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct training to improve staff skills and system knowledge.
• Prepare and manage the IT department budget.
• Control IT expenses and ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Approve IT purchases and monitor resource utilization.
• Plan and manage IT projects such as system upgrades and new implementations.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Coordinate with other departments during system changes.
• Manage IT assets including licenses, hardware, and software inventories.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and company regulations.
• Maintain proper IT documentation and system records.
• Provide technical support escalation for critical issues.
• Work closely with management to understand technology needs
• Advise leadership on IT risks, improvements, and innovations
• Recommend new systems and digital solutions to improve efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in IT roles.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial IT position.
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, systems, and teams.
• Strong knowledge of networks, servers and databases.
• Experience with cybersecurity, data protection, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, business applications, and IT support systems.
• Understanding of software development and system integration.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
