Role: Power BI Data Visualization Analyst -

Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: Any CS Branch - Ortigas / Makati / Cebu / Davao / Angeles / Mabalacat

Schedule: Night Shift

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Data Visualization Analyst to drive the rapid creation and deployment of business intelligence reports. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in Power BI, exceptional analytical capabilities, and strong communication skills for engaging both technical and business stakeholders. This role demands deep expertise in DAX, best practices in data modeling, and proven experience in performance tuning, particularly optimizing large datasets and ensuring highly responsive, scalable reports and semantic models. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights. 
• Write and maintain advanced DAX measures and calculated columns for accurate analytics. 
• Implement data modeling best practices (star schema, relationships, hierarchies) for performance and scalability. 
• Perform data transformation and cleaning using Power Query (M language). 
• Optimize report performance through query reduction, aggregations, and efficient measures. 
• Create intuitive, user-friendly visualizations that highlight key insights for decision-making. 
• Document assumptions, data sources, and measure definitions for transparency and handoff. 
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

Project Objective: 

Deliver high-quality, interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into Supply Chain performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making. 

Scope of Work: 

Data Preparation & Modeling 

• Connect to data sources and perform transformations using Power Query. 
• Design and implement optimized data models following best practices. 

Report Development 

• Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI. 
• Implement advanced DAX measures for accurate calculations. 

Deliverables: 

• Fully functional Power BI dashboards aligned with business requirements. 
• Documentation package (data model, DAX measures, assumptions). 
• Performance-optimized reports ready for production deployment. 

Custom Code Policy 

Custom code (DAX, Power Query M, SQL, Python/R) is permitted only if: 

• Full visibility is provided (all scripts and logic documented and accessible). 
• Code is stored within the Power BI solution (no external scripts). 

Preferred Skills 

• Supply Chain KPI knowledge: Familiarity with metrics like inventory turnover, lead times, demand forecasting, and fulfillment rates. 
• SQL proficiency: Ability to query and validate data from relational databases. 
• Familiarity with ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SSIS). 
• Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines and version control (Git). 
• Knowledge of Power Automate for workflow automation. 
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). 

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

• Advanced Power BI expertise: Proven experience building and publishing interactive dashboards. 
• DAX mastery: Ability to write complex measures and optimize for performance. 
• Power Query (M language): Skilled in data transformation and shaping. 
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and troubleshoot data quality issues. 
• Data modeling best practices: Strong grasp of star schema design, relationships, and hierarchies. 
• Performance tuning: Experience optimizing large datasets and improving report responsiveness. 
• Strong visual design sensibility for intuitive dashboards. 
• Experience with Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI. 
• Understanding of data governance and compliance (especially if dealing with sensitive supply chain data). 
• Knowledge of Power BI Service administration (workspaces, gateways, refresh schedules). 
• Basic understanding of cloud architecture for BI solutions (Azure preferred). 
• Excellent communication skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
• Documentation skills: Clear and structured documentation of measures, assumptions, and data sources.
