Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Communications Engineering
  • With at least 8 years of experience in the following:
  • Switch Mode Power Supply Design
  • Using Simulations Tools in product development
  • Research & Development
  • Knowledgeable in Circuit operation and failure analysis


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, qualify and develop Switch Mode Power Supplies.
  • Participate in design conceptualization, schematic generation, mechanical packaging and PCB layout of project assigned.
  • Conduct circuit breadboarding/fine tuning, power-up, test and verify specs compliance.
  • Perform Design Verification Test (DVT) to the project assigned and all necessary circuit simulation and tolerance analysis on project assigned.
  • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) with emphasis on component cost and quality.
  • Perform Failure Analysis on switch mode power supplies.
  • Ensure that parts in the BOM are qualified, preferred parts and multiple source.
  • Create accurate, error-free test reports and controlled documents.
  • Project Planning and organization.
  • Help coordinate with the support group on project deliverables.
  • Participate on project meetings and design reviews.
  • Collaboration with the support group.
  • Provide engineering support to safety, QA and customer.
