Job Description

Our fast-growing startup trading company is looking for a proactive and reliable HR to support our operations and people management. This position plays a vital role in establishing strong HR foundations and ensuring smooth daily administrative functions within the company.


Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training assistance, payroll input, performance tracking, and employee relations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws (EPF, SOCSO, EIS & PCB).
  • Control and monitor employee attendance, leave, and medical leave (MC), ensuring timely updates and reporting.
  • Administer payroll and benefits in collaboration with the Finance & Accounts team.
  • Serve as the primary touchpoint for employee inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and continuous improvements.
  • Coordinate company events, employee engagement activities, meetings, and business travel arrangements.


Administrative

  • Manage and update company assets (project equipment, vehicles, and office facilities) including license renewals.
  • Maintain and oversee tenancy agreements and related documentation.
  • Ensure the office environment is clean, organised, and conducive for work.
  • Prepare and compile tender documentation and submissions.
  • Monitor, receive, and respond to company emails with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents (physical and digital).
  • Handle monthly billing and payments including but not limited to:
  • Electricity and water bills
  • Office stationery and supplies
  • Other vendor payments as required
  • Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.


Requirements

  • Minimum 3 year experience in HR & administration or related role.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian labour regulations and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Deep understanding in Malaysian labour laws (EPF, SOCSO, EIS & PCB)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with employees at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and responsible in handling confidential information.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
