The Kitchen Helper assists in basic food preparation, cleaning and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. This role supports the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and a hygienic working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and other ingredients as directed
• Assist in basic food prep and assembling simple menu items
• Clean dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment and work areas
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and ensure food safety standards are met
• Dispose of garbage and manage proper waste segregation
• Assist cooks and other kitchen staff with tasks as needed
• Unload and store deliveries properly
• Follow all hygiene and safety products

Qualifications:

• With 6 months experience in a related industry
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Strong sense of cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift and bend
• Punctual, reliable and a team player

Work Environment:

• Active kitchen environment within a cafe and leisure setting
• May involve handling cleaning chemicals and operating basic kitchen equipment
