Position Overview

RecruitGo is seeking an experienced Tekla Steel Detailer to join our team. This role involves working closely with our experienced detailers and customers to deliver high-quality structural steel drawings and fabrication packages using Tekla Structures. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects progress smoothly from concept through to fabrication and delivery.

Responsibilities: 

• Continue to develop and refine expertise in Tekla Structures, supported by internal mentoring and Tekla learning resources.
• Work closely with detailers to prepare detailed structural steel drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details.
• Assess required steelwork practically and collaborate with customers to deliver solutions that meet project requirements.
• Communicate clearly with customers to ensure understanding of our services and the project process from order through to delivery.
• Produce general arrangement (GA) drawings for customer approval using engineer, architect, and site-provided information.
• Upon drawing approval, prepare complete fabrication packages to enable accurate material ordering and workshop fabrication.
• Maintain well-organised project files to ensure full traceability and quality control.
• Identify and resolve design issues through collaboration with the wider design and detailing team.
• Manage and resolve client issues or concerns professionally to maintain strong customer relationships.
• Complete administrative and reporting tasks as requested by the Management Team, including planning and reporting on steel sales progress and goals.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural steel detailing using Tekla Structures.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality drawings.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
• Self-motivated with a positive, proactive approach to work.
• Results-focused and able to meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Process-driven mindset with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements.
