JOB SUMMARY:

Assigns standardized medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments based on a patient’s medical records. These codes come from the ICD (International Classification of Diseases) system, which is used globally for billing, reporting, and statistical purposes in healthcare.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• College level with any work-related experience (1 year or more)
• Has excellent typing skills – Typing speed of 30 WPM or greater; 98% accuracy
• Has high regard on confidentiality and attention to detail
• Must be flexible / adaptable to changes (E.g. Change of Shift Schedule; etc.)
• Must possess multi-tasking skills
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• No derogatory record from previous employment
• Has analytical and problem-solving skills
