Network Operations Center Engineer – Lead, RAN, & Energy Management

Job description:

• Responsible for managing day-to-day surveillance activity in network operation center.
• Support configuration management and implement Software/Hardware configuration data changes for network resource.
• EMS/NMS authority administration for collection of network surveillance alarms and dependability statistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing all relevant information about the current network status to the department concerned.
• Conduct first level diagnostic in isolating and identifying fault location before escalating to field support team
• Perform change request and configuration in network elements training in configuration management and database changes will be provided to incumbent.
• Support in generating network performance reports related to core and radio access network
• To analyze through feedback from field staff on possible causes of the outage and provide reasons for service affecting the shift leader. Handover events to ensure accuracy in daily outage report.
• Responsible for surveillance activities on Access network and Passive Network Devices. Areas of responsibility in network media will be assigned according to job responsibility (I.e. Transmission, Radio respectively). Training in the respective job scope will be provided.
• To follow up escalation routines timelines and second level escalation procedures when the service problem cannot be resolved. Coordinate with third party vendor / regional technical assistance center if the service problem is beyond the capacity of NOC.
• Support Network performance analysis and KPI reporting.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any course related to telecommunications, technology management.
• At least two (2) to four (4) years of working experience in telecommunications industry, preferably experience in operation of network operation/monitoring/surveillance center
• Preferred with team lead experience.
• Good knowledge in Access and Transport Networks
• Good knowledge in power devices (Rectifier/Battery Bank/Genset, etc.)
• Analytical skills in preparing reports and experience in project management
