Role: Packaging Designer and Coordinator
Work Arrangement: Work from Home
Location: Any CS Branch - Ortigas / Makati / Cebu / Davao / Angeles / Mabalacat
Schedule: Morning Shift
Job Description:
- Works closely with the AU team to coordinate, develop, produce, and deliver packaging designs
- Ensures all packaging meets:
- Brand, retailer, and licensor requirements
- Sustainability objectives
- Functional and cost targets
- Production and delivery timelines
- Supports accessories ranges across multiple retailers and suppliers
Packaging Design & Development
- Take packaging briefs from the AU team, including artwork and technical drawings
- Develop packaging designs, concepts, and specifications for:
- Generic accessories card ranges
- Licensed packaging using approved style guides and templates
- Translate creative concepts into technical packaging specifications
- Ensure packaging is:
- Fit-for-purpose
- Brand, retailer, and licensor aligned
- Cost-effective and environmentally responsible
- Mock up products on new card formats and adjust designs for accurate fit and presentation
- Prepare print-ready card artwork for review by Design, QA, and Production teams
- Create and prepare fixture artwork for suppliers, including cost and timeline confirmation
Success Measures
- On-time packaging delivery aligned to product launch timelines
- Reduction in packaging waste and environmental impact
- High internal stakeholder satisfaction
Supplier Coordination, Quality Control & Compliance
- Provide suppliers with packing instruction images for correct production packing
- Track and follow up on:
- Pre-production (PP) samples
- Fixtures, signage, and clip strips
- Notify Production Coordinator and/or Buyer Assistant of:
- New or updated card codes
- Artwork changes
- Price changes (to allow updated PO/PI issuance)
- Ensure compliance with:
- Company standards
- Sustainability directives
- Retailer requirements
- Australian regulations
- Collaborate with QA and suppliers to ensure correct on-card information, including:
- Watch battery details
- Instructions
- Sunglasses lens categories
- Jewellery ingredient listings
Success Measures
- Packaging cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Supplier performance across quality, compliance, and lead times
Data & System Management
- Create new card codes and update card pricing in SAP
- Maintain and update:
- Range Planner WIP
- Carding WIP files
- Maintain accurate records of supplier pricing confirmations and approvals
- Review PP samples, colour proofs, and structural prototypes for AU team approval
- Troubleshoot production issues and support corrective actions as directed
Success Measures
- Databases accurate and up to date at all times
Artwork & Approvals
- Develop packaging artwork and coordinate approval processes with AU design and brand teams
- Ensure actual samples are presented for:
- Product fitting
- Final approval
- Ensure consistent and accurate:
- Branding
- Labelling
- POS information
- Submit final artwork to licensors when required
- Confirm and approve digital proofs prior to supplier printing
- Review PP samples to confirm:
- Colour accuracy
- Artwork correctness
- Adherence to specifications
- Communicate revisions with licensors and suppliers as needed
Success Measures
- Artwork delivered on time and aligned with briefs
File & Asset Management
- Create and maintain templates and master files
- Keep packaging folders organised and current
- Remove outdated or unnecessary files to maintain clean file structures

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Support go-to-market timelines with packaging data, samples, and costings

- Positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders
Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in packaging development, sourcing, or supply chain
- Experience in accessories, fashion, beauty, or consumer goods preferred
- Experience working with offshore manufacturers (China, Vietnam, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Packaging materials and manufacturing processes
- Retail packaging and POS standards
- Sustainability principles in packaging
- Ability to read technical drawings and packaging specifications
- Proficient in MS Office
- Adobe Illustrator or similar design tools preferred
- Degree in Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field desirable
