Overview:

As a Product Specialist, your role is to help design, monitor, and continuously improve the security and authentication-related features within our Maya app—specifically around how users authenticate and authorize sensitive actions and transactions. You’ll work closely with consumer and enterprise product managers, engineers, and security teams to ensure that our app is both secure and seamless to use. You'll be driving Maya’s product strategy and execution of roadmaps toward the goals of the Maya Core Products and Platforms Group; under the Security Center and MFA Mesh Teams. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical acumen, and a hands-on AGILE approach towards the product development lifecycle (PDLC).

What you will do:

• Oversee a range of financial technology products with a focus on financial security and strong yet frictionless authentication.
• Stay up to date on mobile security best practices, and scheme or BSP guidelines (e.g. MASA guidelines, SIM swap protection, etc.) as they apply to mobile financial apps. Conduct in-depth market analysis within the Philippines FinTech Sector, staying attuned to industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities. Use this knowledge to determine key product strategies.
• Help gather product requirements for authentication features (e.g. two-factor authentication, facial recognition, app lock, and in-app verification prompts).
• Understand how security flows affect the user experience. Test new features for usability, security clarity, and edge-case handling.
• Help coordinate discussions between engineering, design, compliance, and risk teams—particularly around rollout plans and edge cases for new authentication methods.
• Document product requirements, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and assist in ensuring that user stories align with technical development.
• Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring that products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs of our customers.
• Collaborate closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure products adhere to relevant regulations and security standards set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other regulators.
• Leverage data analytics and customer insights to drive product enhancements, optimize user experiences, and maximize revenue.
• Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful product development, marketing, and customer engagement.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in product management or a related role within the financial technology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing financial technology products.
• High proficiency of AGILE development methodologies.
• Familiarity with mobile authentication or digital payments is a strong plus.
• Preferably with an understanding of financial services operations, regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Familiarity with Database and Dashboard Reporting Tools are an advantage (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Access).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable using product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma, Excel).
