A Material Handler is responsible for the systematic movement, storage, and control of products and supplies within the manufacturing plant.

Core Responsibilities

• Logistics & Movement: Loading and unloading inventory from delivery trucks, storage areas, and production lines. This often requires operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or trolleys.
• Inventory Control: Verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders to ensure accuracy in quantity and quality. Handlers also perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
• Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and staging finished goods for shipment based on client orders or production sheets.
• Documentation: Recording daily material movements using production sheets, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), or warehouse management software.
• Workplace Maintenance: Organizing materials according to 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and maintaining general cleanliness of the warehouse.

Requirements & Skills

• Education: Minimum of a High School, Senior High, or Vocational graduate. Some specialized roles may require two years of college or a specific technical certificate.
• Physical Fitness: The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long shifts and lift heavy items (typically up to 50 lbs or more).
• Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for data entry and, for some roles.
• Experience: Previous background in production work.
