The Site Engineer plays a key role in supervising and executing construction projects, ensuring that site works are completed according to plans, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership to manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate with contractors and engineers, and support the integration of Smarthouse’s smart home technologies into construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is executed according to approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with quality standards, and identify potential issues.
• Coordinate with the project management team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of project milestones.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and structural plans.
• Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and material requisitions as needed.
• Assist in project cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of workplace safety at all times.
• Liaise with the design and technical teams to support structural, architectural, and smart home integration requirements.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned in support of project delivery and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Civil Engineer (required).
• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction or site engineering, preferably in residential, commercial, or smart home projects.
• Strong background in structural and architectural finishes, technical planning, and cost estimation.
• Experience in site inspection, safety practices, and execution of structural plans.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Knowledgeable in safety standards and holds safety certifications (OSHA, First Aid, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
