Job Description
Company Overview: A fast-growing e-commerce company known for offering high-quality, affordable products and an excellent digital shopping experience. We are now expanding our digital footprint with the launch of our new mobile app.
Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated SEO & SEM Specialist to drive the visibility of our new app. You will be responsible for a complete search marketing strategy: using SEM (Paid Search) to acquire immediate users via ad placements, and SEO (Organic Search) to ensure our app ranks at the top of search results in both App Stores and Google.
Key Responsibilities:
SEM (Paid Search & App Campaigns)
Google App Campaigns: Execute and manage paid search campaigns (Google Ads/UAC) to drive app installs from Google Search, Play Store, and YouTube.
Apple Search Ads (SEM): Manage keyword bidding strategies on the Apple App Store to ensure our app appears first for high-intent search queries.
Cost Efficiency: Monitor CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPI (Cost Per Install) daily to ensure we are spending the budget effectively.
SEO (Organic Search & Store Optimization)
App Store SEO: Conduct keyword research and optimize the app title, subtitles, and description to rank organically for high-volume search terms in the Play Store & App Store.
Web SEO for Apps: Optimize the company’s website landing pages to rank on Google for relevant queries, driving organic traffic to the app download links ("Web-to-App" strategy).
Creative Optimization: Continuously test and update the app's visual assets (screenshots/icons) to improve the organic click-through rate (CTR).
Analytics & Reporting
Analyze the performance of SEO keywords vs. SEM keywords to identify the most cost-effective way to get new users.
Track conversion rates and retention to ensure the users we acquire (both paid and organic) are high-quality.
Requirements:
Experience & Attitude:
- Experience in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or SEM (Search Engine Marketing), specifically for mobile apps, is highly recommended.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to distinguish when to pay for a user (SEM) versus when to target them organically (SEO).
- Adaptable: Willing to test different keywords and bidding strategies in a fast-paced environment.
Core Competencies:
- Platform Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, or Google Play Console is preferred.
- AI Proficiency: Ability to use tools such as ChatGPT to generate keyword lists, draft SEO-friendly descriptions, and analyze competitor reviews is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets is recommended for tracking ad budgets and performance reports.
