Job Opportunity: Account Manager – Life Science

Location: Makati City

Department: Sales – Life Science

Salary Range: ₱45,000 – ₱55,000 / month


Job Summary

  • The Account Manager – Life Science is responsible for managing customer relationships within an assigned territory or market segment to achieve sales targets and ensure sustainable business growth. This role focuses on developing strong partnerships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and executing sales and market development strategies aligned with company objectives.


Responsibilities:


Sales & Account Management:

  • Execute sales plans for assigned territory, product line, or market segment
  • Manage pricing strategies in coordination with Sales, Product Management, and Business Development
  • Identify, develop, and manage new and existing accounts
  • Create, manage, and follow up on sales opportunity and lead pipelines
  • Handle customer concerns and complaint management
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and inventory planning with Supply Chain
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development


Customer Relationship & Communication:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business discussions
  • Lead negotiations as directed by management
  • Provide technical and product support when required
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales and support teams


Reports & Documentation:

  • Prepare and submit daily call reports and customer visit reports via Salesforce
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports and forecasts
  • Prepare quotations, project development reports, and sales plans


Market & Business Development:

  • Conduct product and technical training within the sales team
  • Develop market and product development plans for assigned principals
  • Monitor competitors’ activities, market trends, and customer outlook
  • Develop new customers and expand applications for existing products
  • Align business strategies with customers’ long-term growth plans


Credit Management:

  • Monitor and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable
  • Coordinate with Finance and CSR teams for payment collection
  • Recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms
  • Minimize financial risks for the company


Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Pharmacy, or any Science-related course
  • Experience:
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in an industrial B2B environment
  • Proven experience selling and managing raw material applications for:
  • Processed meats
  • Sauces and dressings
  • Spices and seasonings
  • Brewery applications
  • Sales experience in food ingredients and nutraceuticals is highly preferred
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Creative, critical, and strategic thinking
  • Strong understanding of the Life Science / Food Ingredients industry
  • Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven
  • Other Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language
  • Additional language skills are an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willing to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including overnight stays
