Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Manager located in our plant in Medina, Misamis Oriental. This QA Manager is a critical position that will ensure all food products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and internal quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, quality systems, and regulatory compliance, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

IMPORTANT: the candidate must be willing to be based onsite in our plant in Medina, Misamis Oriental, Northen Mindanao.

Responsibilities

1) QA Operations

• Develop and implement food safety and quality assurance programs such as HACCP, GMP, SQF
• Work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to ensure that quality standards are integrated into every stage of the food production process.
• Analyze quality data and implement improvements
• Maintain documentation and records for traceability

2) Audits & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
• Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective actions
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw material quality

3) Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Train and supervise quality assurance staff
• Stay current with food safety regulations and industry trends and communicate these changes effectively across the organization
• Communicate quality issues and solutions across departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in food quality assurance or food safety
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations
• Experience with third-party audits and certifications such as SQF, BRC
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
• Passion for food safety and a commitment to continuous improvement
