  • A senior copywriter will have a proven track record as a copywriter, with a deep understanding of the ways copy helps clients achieve their aims, and the ability to generate immaculate copy for every brief.
  • Comfortable and confident in their writing, and willing to help less senior members of staff to improve their copy skills, senior copywriters are leading figures in a creative team and are always ready to rise to any challenging brief with a keen eye for detail, and a drive to deliver the sharpest, most dazzling copy.
  • This role requires complete self-assurance, as the senior copywriter is in charge of influencing consumers by delivering a clear message, as well as using their initiative to seek out new trends and incorporate them into campaigns effectively.
  • Working alongside art directors, developers, and designers, senior copywriters must be keen team players and self-sufficient multi-taskers, full of original approaches and innovative ideas.
  • All copy must be written in the tone suitable for the client and brand style and appropriate for many platforms, including:
  • 360 advertising campaign materials and all copy elements necessary to create, build and present such campaign materials such as but not limited to:
  1. Marketing materials
  2. TV, Video, and Radio Scripts
  3. Press advertising
  4. News releases
  5. Sales letters
  6. Articles (offline and online)
  7. Brochures (offline and online)
  8. Internal office copy requirements
  9. Other copy requirements included in the services offered by Redbin.
  • Often working with the art director in order to construct effective creative work that brings client satisfaction, a senior copywriter needs a creative mind alongside an organized approach and the ability to think laterally and literally.
  • Must keep an eye on any changes to the media landscape that will influence concepts and make projects innovative and fresh.
  • A professional outlook is also required to handle any copy amendments requested by the client, and meticulous research skills will ensure all copy is accurate and factual.
  • Understanding the message the client is seeking to express and translating this into written content
  • Writing copy to engage the reader
  • Carrying out amendments to client specifications
  • Adhering to the tone-of-voice requested by the client
  • Working with the art director to devise creative strategies
  • Liaising with the client on a regular basis
  • Generating creative ideas to build innovative campaigns
  • Providing feedback to junior copywriters
  • Develop creative strategies that are forward-thinking and in line with current media trends
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives and devise strategies to achieve them
  • Offer creative ideas and encourage others to share theirs
  • Check all copy that generated by team members and offer feedback when necessary
  • Manage multiple projects, with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly
  • Meet deadlines and stay within budget constraints
  • Push clients towards fresh, exciting ideas
  • Liaise with clients
  • Promoting Redbin, in the industry and representing the company in creative competitions
  • Winning creative awards locally and internationally

Requisito

A senior copywriter needs a wide range of capabilities including:

  • Effective team management capabilities
  • Familiarity with creative processes and techniques – including digital media
  • Confidence in building a rapport with clients and nurturing good working relationships
  • Expected to work regular office hours, with the odd ‘out of hours’ shift at times of high volume.
