Job Summary:

The Solar Power Plant – Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall site operations, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of a large-scale solar power plant in Cordon, Isabela. This role ensures that the project is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. The Site Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure the plant's long-term operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Site Management:

  • Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of solar power generation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor daily operations and site progress, addressing technical and logistical issues promptly.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to HSE regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent workplace hazards.
  • Ensure environmental compliance in accordance with local and national regulations.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Supervise site engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring optimal workforce productivity.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, providing direction, motivation, and problem-solving strategies.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement on site.

Stakeholder & Contractor Management:

  • Coordinate with project developers, government agencies, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting to relevant authorities and project stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.

Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:

  • Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and technical reports.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with international and local standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to solar panels, inverters, and electrical systems.

Operations & Maintenance (O&M):

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize plant efficiency and lifespan.
  • Monitor system performance and coordinate corrective actions for optimal energy production.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and audits to ensure reliable plant operation.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical).
  • Licensed Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Renewable Energy industry, specifically in solar power plant construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Proven experience in site management, EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), and commissioning of solar power projects.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical components, power distribution, and grid interconnection.
  • Familiarity with HSE standards, local regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willing to be based on-site in Cordon, Isabela.
