The Finance Associate will handle routine transactional and administrative finance tasks particularly the timely

collection, organization, and monitoring of completeness and accuracy of financial documents to eliminate bottlenecks

and reduce compliance risks. As AP and compliance support, this role strengthens internal controls, ensures audit

readiness, and enables the team to shift from reactive to proactive compliance. Overall, the role enhances operational

efficiency, supports regulatory demands, and helps future-proof the finance function as the company scales


Responsibilities


Accounts Payable

  • Review and verify vendor invoices against supporting documents
  • Post invoices / AP in QuickBooks accounting system
  • Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and document follow-up
  • Prepare accrual entries as part of month-end closing process
  • Monitor and update the vendor database and AP schedules
  • Prepare and consolidate bi-monthly employee reimbursements
  • Collect, monitor and organize original hard copies of invoices, BIR Form 2307 and reimbursements

Tax and Compliance Documentation

  • Organize and ensure completeness of Books of Accounts on a monthly and annual basis
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual Withholding Tax and VAT returns with supporting Alphalists
  • Organize BIR-related documents for Tax Mapping, Audit and other regulatory checks
  • Support document preparation and filings to SEC and external auditors
  • Ensure monthly filing of compliance documents and matching against records for regulatory readiness
  • Serve as liaison for finance-related transaction

Finance-related activities

  • Support process improvements and implementation projects
  • Develop and maintain an organized filing system and storage of financial data, records and documents to
  • ensure easily available information
  • Perform other related tasks necessary to achieve the department’s goals and objective


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • At least 2-3 years of progressive functional experience in AP, GL, tax and regulatory compliance
  • If CPA the candidate can have 1-2 yrs experience
  • Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and BIR requirements/practices is a plus
  • Advanced Excel Skills (do documentations, organization of files)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • bookkeeping and tax certification (not a must)


WFH TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:


• Minimum Internet Speed: 50-100 Mbps

• Dedicated Home Office Area: Private, quiet workspace

• Business Continuity Plan: Power and Internet Backup is a MUST
