We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mid-Level Server Engineer with solid experience in both Linux and Windows server environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of physical and virtual server infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems and ensure high availability, performance, and security across our server environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server systems (2016/2019/2022).
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and other core Windows Server roles.
• Maintain and support virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Apply patches, updates, and perform system upgrades as needed.
• Manage server backup solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Implement and maintain system security protocols and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development, networking, and cybersecurity teams on projects.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures in accordance with best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when necessary.

Do you have experience as a Server Engineer?

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a systems/server engineer or administrator.
• Strong expertise in both Linux (SUSE, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server operating systems.
• Proficient with Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, and server roles.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with server monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, RHCSA/RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
