JOB SUMMARY
Conducts surveillance, investigation, analyzes the results of occurrences/events/accidents/incidents, investigation, and trends to verify that APLUS personnel are following the APLUS and customer requirements. He/she ensures that the organization complies with the company’s QMS and SMS. Likewise, identify the weaknesses, if any, in the systems and procedures used to carry out APLUS plans and programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs investigation, root cause analysis and provides recommendation on events/occurrences and/or accidents/incidents during surveillance, internal reports, or customer related concerns.
- Reviews and performs risk assessment to determine the severity and probability of concern/observation.
- Institutes corrective action or action plan in the respective assigned division(s) in coordination with the division heads and closely monitors occurrence investigation reports until closed.
- Assists in the implementation, continuous review, and improvement with regards to Quality Management & Safety Management system.
- Provides Safety Campaign program through production and distribution of posters, bulletins, memos, and newsletters.
- Conducts or facilitates safety meetings to APLUS personnel on all known safety issues / hazards relating to APLUS operations to provide awareness and prevent re-occurrence.
- Assists in analyzing other maintenance and operational processes and quality and safety parameters that affect APLUS operations.
- Assists in managing the changes of the APLUSSMSM or any related procedural document.
- Complies with applicable regulatory and standards of APLUS; actively involve with APLUS Safety Management System by reporting all accident, incidents, and any hazard in the workplace; and being safety conscious by exerting duty of care in the performance of duties.
- Supports the function of EHS Engineer as needed.
- Performs all safety responsibilities as required by the APLUS Safety Management Manual.
- Accountable for the safekeep, and proper use of resources assigned under his / her name.
- In the absence of Supervisor Safety Management, he / she may act as OIC Supervisor Safety Management.
- Performs other duties as maybe assigned by Manager – Safety Management.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- College graduate preferably engineering or other aviation technical courses.
- Preferably holder of PRC Aeronautical Engineering license or CAAP AMT/AMS license
- Must have completed the minimum training requirement per APLUS approved manual and the following training courses or equivalent, within two (2) years form the time he/she assumes position
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least2 years of experience in quality / safety management system preferably in aviation environment.
- Adequate knowledge and understanding of Safety Management System.
- Adequate knowledge and understanding of workplace safety surveillance, audits, and investigation process.
- Adequate knowledge and understanding of DOLE, DENR and other relevant regulations.
- Knowledgeable in Emergency Response procedures
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Good verbal and written communication skills and abilityto summarize complex technical matters. Must be able to represent APPC confidently and professionally to customers and relevant authority.
- Strong analytical and operational business skills
- Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Self-motivated and able to get results with minimal supervision and oversight.
- Organizational and project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
