A Sales Clerk is responsible for assisting customers in a retail environment by providing product information, processing sales transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness and inventory levels. The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to support sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer customer questions and provide information about products and services.
  • Operate cash registers, handle payments, and issue receipts accurately.
  • Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain a tidy sales floor.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or discrepancies.
  • Assist with setting up displays and promotional signage.
  • Handle customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other staff to achieve sales goals and ensure smooth store operations.
