The Accounting Staff – Petty Cash is responsible for the proper handling, recording, and monitoring of petty cash funds. The role ensures that all petty cash transactions are accurate, properly documented, and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and safeguard petty cash funds at all times
• Receive, review, and verify petty cash disbursement requests
• Ensure all petty cash expenses are supported with complete and valid receipts
• Record petty cash transactions accurately and timely
• Prepare petty cash replenishment and liquidation reports
• Monitor petty cash balances and request replenishment when necessary
• Coordinate with departments regarding petty cash usage and documentation
• Assist in monthly closing and internal audits related to petty cash
• Maintain organized and updated petty cash records and files
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related course
• At least 6 months to 1 year experience in accounting or petty cash handling (preferred)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy
• Proficient in MS Excel and basic accounting systems
• Ability to handle confidential financial information
• Good communication and coordination skills
