Job Description:

The Accounting Manager will supervise daily accounting functions, including general

ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, and

month-end and year-end closing. The role involves preparing and reviewing

financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses, ensuring

accuracy and timeliness.

The Accounting Manager will monitor transportation-related costs such as fuel, maintenance, tolls, and fleet depreciation, and will implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. The position also requires coordination with external auditors and regulatory agencies, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will lead and mentor the accounting team and work closely with operations and management to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-efficiency initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Prior experience in the transportation, logistics, fleet management, or service industry is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience handling the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong working knowledge of tax compliance, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and financial analysis tools).
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes, particularly in operationally intensive environments.
