The Accounting Manager oversees all dealership financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, proper inventory costing (vehicles, parts, and accessories), and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The role manages daily accounting functions, supervises cash flow and banking transactions, ensures timely tax and statutory filings, and strengthens internal controls. The Accounting Manager also supports budgeting, forecasting, and collaborates with key departments to maintain accurate financial data.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily accounting operations (AP/AR, payroll, general ledger).
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor inventory costing and reconciliations for vehicles, parts, and service.
  • Supervise cash flow activities, deposits, disbursements, and bank dealings.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (BIR, SEC, tax filings, statutory reports).
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Manage relationships with banks, financing, and leasing partners.
  • Implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and parts departments for cross-functional reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience, including 2 years supervisory/managerial.
  • Knowledgeable in GAAP/PFRS, tax laws, and regulatory compliance (BIR/SEC).
  • Experience in inventory management and costing.
  • Proficient in accounting systems (ERP/DMS) and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
