As an Accounting Team Leader, you are responsible for overseeing the accounting team's daily work. You will be providing operational and technical guidance to the accounting associates, overseeing and reviewing their work for accuracy and efficiency. Ensure the financial and accounting operations will run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day accounting/bookkeeping operation of the assigned client/team.
Ensures overall compliance of the assigned team and standards.
Provides accounting, bookkeeping, and technical assistance to client issues and/or requirements.
Ensures improvements and/or compliance with the assigned task goals and activities.
Able to perform various types of basic transaction recordings – bills, adjustments, etc.
Able to operate or perform processing using various stand-alone systems.
Able to perform advanced tax calculation and filing
Able to perform report preparation, simple communication with clients, etc.
Able to perform customized activities such as the creation of templates, schedules, etc.
Report to superiors the results of activities as per schedule.
Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) but not required
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy (BSA)
With 5 to 7 years of total working experience in the Accounting field
At least 1 year of experience in a Team Lead role or similar capacity
Experience in leading at least 1-3 members.
Experience with catering services or assisting US and/or Australian clients is an advantage.
Competent in handling bookkeeping and accounting operations
Can perform assessment and review of operational concerns.
Can recommend continuous improvements of existing processes.
Leadership skills and/or the ability to handle a team or people.
Sound knowledge of various accounting operations, principles, and practices
