About the Role

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the accounts payable and general accounting functions. This includes scanning invoices, performing data entry, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely and compliant processing of transactions. The role ensures adherence to company policies, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while contributing to process efficiency and accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all accounts payable and general accounting tasks are performed accurately, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Scan invoices and perform data entry (indexing) — including keying in invoice numbers, vendor IDs, and invoice amounts.
  • Maintain proper records and filing of accounting documents for future reference.
  • Comply with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure all assigned SLAs and KPIs are met in line with business requirements.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational or transactional issues.
  • Support the team in preparing ad-hoc reports and special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accountancy, or related fields.
  • Open to fresh graduates; experience in accounts payable or general accounting is a plus.
  • Experience in a Global Finance Shared Services Centre (GSSC) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, analytical ability, and the capacity to work independently.
  • A proactive team player with a positive and adaptable work attitude.
