· Install air conditioning systems (split, window-type, centralized, etc.) in compliance with hospital standards and safety regulations.

· Set up temperature controls appropriate for patient care areas, operating rooms, laboratories, and administrative zones.

2. Preventive Maintenance

· Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance of air conditioning systems to prevent breakdowns.

· Clean filters, coils, and ducts to ensure clean airflow and energy efficiency.

· Lubricate moving parts and check refrigerant levels as per maintenance schedules.

3. Troubleshooting and Repairs

· Diagnose malfunctioning HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

· Respond promptly to aircon-related service requests in critical areas like the ICU, OR, and ER.

· Minimize downtime to prevent discomfort or risk to patient health.

4. Monitoring and Documentation

· Monitor temperature and humidity levels, especially in sensitive areas such as operating rooms, pharmacy, and laboratory.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.

5. Infection Control Compliance

· Ensure all aircon units support infection control measures by maintaining clean filters and proper air circulation.

· Coordinate with hospital infection control teams to meet standards in isolation rooms and surgical suites.

6. Safety and Compliance

· Follow hospital safety protocols and electrical/mechanical codes.

· Use personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing tasks.

· Identify and report any safety hazards related to HVAC systems.

7. Emergency Support

· Be on-call or available for emergency maintenance, especially in mission-critical areas.

· Support disaster preparedness and recovery operations by ensuring HVAC readiness.
