Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional automation experience
• Experience with CAD software for designing automated systems
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and smart manufacturing technologies
• Experience working in a global team environment

Duties & Responsibilities

Design and Development

• Design, develop, and implement automated systems and processes for manufacturing and production lines, ensuring they meet quality standards and improve efficiency

Programming

• Create and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) configurations, and other automation software for various equipment and machinery

Multi-Axis Robots & Pneumatics

• Design and integrate multi-axis robotic systems and pneumatic components into production processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability

System Integration

• Integrate automated systems with existing production equipment, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime

Process Optimization

• Analyze current production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement automation solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower operational costs

Global Collaboration

• Work closely with automation colleagues in Europe and Canada to align automation strategies, share best practices, and ensure consistency across global operations

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Perform routine maintenance on automation systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise to minimize production disruptions

Collaboration

• Work closely with the production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure automation systems align with overall manufacturing goals and quality standards

Documentation

• Develop and maintain technical documentation for automated systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals

Training

• Provide training and support to production staff on the operation and maintenance of automated systems
