Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced software test automation engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for software applications. The ideal candidate will understand testing requirements, create reusable test cases, and ensure all testing activities comply with company standards. This role involves designing test procedures, prioritizing testing efforts, and executing test cases to identify defects, define severity, and perform regression testing as needed.

The candidate must be skilled in automated testing frameworks and have a strong understanding of both black box and white box testing practices. They should also have hands-on experience with tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and REST Assured, with a focus on API testing. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with team members, mentoring, and sharing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design test procedures and cases for automated software testing.

• Develop reusable automated test scripts.

• Ensure compliance with company standards for testing activities.

• Collaborate with the test lead to identify required resources.

• Create and prioritize test cases and testing activities.

• Execute test cases, report defects, and define severity and priority.

• Perform regression testing whenever code changes are made.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge and experience in software quality assurance.

• Proficient in writing comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Familiar with black box and white box testing techniques.

• Experienced with Cucumber, Selenium, and open-source testing frameworks.

• Strong understanding of UI and automated testing.

• Familiar with behavior-driven testing practices.

• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and participate in code reviews.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical details and outcomes effectively.
