1. Maintaining systems: Performing repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on systems like plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, and security

2. Inspecting: Checking equipment, buildings, and systems for quality and stability

3. Scheduling: Planning and scheduling routine repairs and maintenance

4. Cleaning: Performing routine cleaning and sanitizing, including cleaning delicate items

5. Troubleshooting: Responding to issues and problems reported by colleagues or clients

6. Documenting: Keeping records of routine testing, repairs, and troubleshooting, and ensuring documentation is up to date

7. Maintaining safety equipment: Checking and maintaining safety equipment like fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide detectors

8. Performing grounds maintenance: replacing exterior light bulbs

9. Maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment: Keeping the tools and equipment used to perform the job in good condition

Maintenance technicians can work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential buildings. They may also need to be able to work in emergency situations.

Some skills that are important for maintenance technicians include: An intuitive feel for machines, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, IT skills, Team working skills, and Time management skills.

Qualifications:

• Vocational course graduate with NC II certification
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing as a technician, specializing in troubleshooting, wiring installation, and preventive maintenance (PM)
• Willing to extend working hours as needed
• Safety-oriented
• Can work under minimal supervision and perform well under pressure
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills
• Willing to perform other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
