Key responsibilities

• Interpreting plans: Reading and following blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
• Measuring and cutting: Accurately measuring, marking, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials.
• Framing: Constructing building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roof structures.
• Installing structures: Fitting and installing a wide range of items such as windows, doors, stairs, and molding.
• Finish carpentry: Performing detailed work on interior elements like cabinets, shelving, and trim.
• Site preparation: Preparing the work site and ensuring it is safe and ready for the job.
• Repairing and restoring: Inspecting existing structures and performing necessary repairs or restorations.
• Material management: Estimating material needs, sourcing materials, and inspecting them for quality.
