Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analyzing data about a company's operational costs
• Developing and analyzing cost standards
• Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) ANALYSIS
• Performing account reconciliations
• Prepared audit reports and presenting their findings to management
• Recommended changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
• Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
• Managing the company's balance sheet and accounting books
• Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure
• Review standard actual costs for inaccuries
• Prepare Budgeting reports (for the company and each department)
• Analyze and report profit margins
• Prepare (monthly , quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Performs other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any related field
• Proven work experience as cost accountant, cost analyst, accountant, or similar role
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
• In depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with pivot tables)
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
