We're Hiring: Cloud Data Engineer

Location: Metro Manila-based applicants only (Hybrid setup – 2x/week onsite at UP Technohub, QC)

Shift:

• 3:00 PM – 12:00 MN (Onsite)
• 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (WFH)
• 1st month: full night shift to sync with US client
• Follows US holiday schedule

About the Role

You’ll help design and build scalable, cloud-native data solutions using Python and AWS. You’ll also get to work closely with a multicultural team and a US-based client.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of data engineering experience (integration, transformation, processing)
• Strong in Python, especially for APIs and data libraries
• Proficient in SQL and big data formats (Apache Parquet, ORC)
• Solid data modeling: Relational & NoSQL (bonus: dimensional)
• Hands-on with AWS services: Glue, IAM, Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3
• Knowledge of IaC: CloudFormation or CDK
• Experience orchestrating pipelines (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions)

Nice to Haves

• Tools: Athena, Kinesis, Kafka, Spark, MWAA, Airflow
• Client-facing or team leadership experience
