Description

Responsible for planning, designing, and supporting civil and structural works for utility-scale and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants. The role includes site grading, roads, drainage, foundations, and coordination with electrical and structural teams to ensure safe, cost-effective, and constructible solar farm layouts.

• Design site layouts for solar farms including module tables, access roads, and equipment foundations
• Perform site grading and earthwork design to optimize cut-and-fill balance
• Design stormwater drainage systems, culverts, and erosion control measures
• Design foundations for mounting structures, inverters, transformers, and substation
• Conduct quantity take-offs and support cost estimation
• Review geotechnical reports and topographic surveys
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, and environmental engineers
• Support permitting, approvals, and documentation
• Assist during construction, site inspections, and resolving field issues
• Review EPC contractor drawings and as-built documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC preferred)
• Preferably a member of ASEP
• At least 5 years experience in solar power plant or substation projects
• With NGCP design experience
• Strong background in civil/structural design (site works, foundations, drainage, access roads.)
• Proficient in AutoCad, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or similar software
• Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and safety standards (NBCP, NSCP, ACI, ASTM)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skill
