  • Read blueprints or technical diagrams
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
  • Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
  • Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
  • Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans

  • Work rapidly without compromising quality in order to minimize down times
  • Communicate estimated timelines for repairs to those impacted
  • Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality

  • Perform preventative maintenance to stay ahead of potential issues
  • Troubleshoot all problems effectively, performing quality, lasting repairs
  • Install new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure as needed
  • Log all services and report progress to management
  • Always seek the solution that is most cost effective without compromising quality
  • Assess systems and suggest modifications to prevent future issues
  • Maintain all equipment in excellent working order
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • An industrial electrician installs, services and repairs wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems in an industrial or commercial setting. Industrial electricians may work in different industries.
  • They often work primarily either in maintenance or in construction, and their specific duties may depend on the employer. All work performed by an industrial electrician must meet the regulations of the National Electrical Code.
  • Industrial electricians' job duties may include running electronic tests and inspections, cleaning contacts or circuit boards, ensuring that systems are grounded and installing outlets, lighting fixtures and switches. Preventative measures such as oiling motors, bending conduit and replacing old wiring are also among their duties. When electrical systems break down, industrial electricians are responsible for troubleshooting and fixing the problem.
  • Electricians typically do the following: Read blueprints or technical diagrams. Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.

Syarat-syarat

  • With Diploma or competencies in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
  • A Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added. advantage.
  • Mature, energetic and quick-witted
  • Ability to work independently and for long hours.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision and with a team.
  • Has strong interpersonal and intrapersonal management skills.
  • Technical Skill: Conducting equipment inspections to identify and facilitate/conduct repair of machinery
  • Observational Skill: Identifying machine faults or building hazard to initiate repairs and adjustment
  • Occupational safety and health (OSH) knowledge, including first aid is advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Quality control - making sure cleaning, upkeep and safety standards are maintained, or efficiencies are discovered.
  • Must have ability to keep track of maintenance activity and submit report/s accordingly
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 5+ years’ experience in the electrical trade
  • Able to work well on a team
  • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills


  • High school diploma or equivalent required, degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • Valid electrician license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an electrical technician
  • Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience fabricating, assembling, and installing wire harnesses
  • Experience installing electrical panels
  • Experience in commercial and residential settings strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment
  • Able to utilize handtools and power tools
  • Solid working knowledge of all code requirements
  • Ability and willingness to follow all legal and company safety regulations
  • Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Physical ability to complete this type of work, often in demanding environments
