Serve as the Technical Lead for all farm waste management systems. This role is crucial for ensuring sustainable operations by optimizing wastewater treatment and maximizing energy recovery from biogas, all while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Waste Management & Optimization: Manage the operation and performance of lagoon systems and advanced wastewater facilities to ensure superior water quality and safe land application of treated nutrients and solids.
• Biogas Energy Recovery: Oversee anaerobic digester systems, focusing on methane production efficiency, troubleshooting operational issues, and developing strategies for resource recovery
• Compliance & Reporting: Secure and maintain all required environmental permits and submit timely, accurate regulatory reports.
• Project Leadership: Lead the conceptual design, budgeting, and execution of environmental infrastructure capital projects
• Safety & SOPs: Develop SOPs and provide staff training to ensure consistent, safe, and compliant operation of all environmental control points.

Education & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in wastewater treatment, with at least 2 years specifically focused on agricultural waste and/or anaerobic digestion/biogas facilities.

Certifications:

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license highly desirable.
