Job Summary:

The Facilities Officer is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of building facilities to ensure that all systems and services run efficiently. The role involves coordinating maintenance works, managing service providers, monitoring utilities, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of building facilities, equipment, and utilities.
  • Coordinate and supervise service providers and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and preventive works.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems are functioning properly.
  • Prepare and submit maintenance and inspection reports on a scheduled basis.
  • Monitor and manage the implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Assist in budgeting, purchasing, and monitoring of materials and supplies related to facility operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to tenant or client concerns regarding facilities and utilities.
  • Support the Property Manager in vendor management, cost control, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and assist in incident management.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Property or Facilities Manager.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or any related technical course.
  • Preferably a Licensed Engineer (ME, EE, or CE).
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in building or facilities management, property operations, or maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to be assigned to different sites or properties.
