Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related course
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and compliance (BIR, SEC, PEZA)
• Proficient in general accounting and financial reporting
• Familiar with ERP systems, accounting software, and MS Office tools

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept in problem-solving
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Skilled in developing process improvements within the section

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the Accounting Section and monitor staff performance
• Review subordinates’ work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Prepare and review financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents
• Ensure compliance with BIR filings, taxation, and other regulatory requirements
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities within the section
• Assist in internal and external audit requirements by providing accurate documentation
• Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to company accounting policies
• Support the preparation of PEZA and SEC compliance reports as required
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to accounting staff
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency within the section
• Carries out additional responsibilities within the scope of skills and experience, as directed by management
